As environmental and public health consultants, we interface with all levels of government on behalf of our clients. Specifically and routinely, we work with the FDA, USDA, CDC, OSHA -- as well as municipal, county and state companion agencies. In addition we have experience with the U.S. Congress, having provided testimony before a House Committee, as well as discussing client issues with Congressmen and Congressional staff members. EpiHealth Associates is fully experienced with the regulatory requirements and we are often able to interact with these agencies to ameliorate problems clients may have with them. We can often prevent unnecessary regulatory contact by providing inspectional, laboratory, and educational services that ensure attaining and maintaining compliance, thereby preventing an adverse regulatory action. Our effectiveness in these matters in part is attributable to our direct personal experience as former members of government regulatory agencies. Our personnel have an "insider's" knowledge of regulatory standards and inspection techniques that often prove invaluable to our clients. Regulators often feel comfortable being able to speak with a fellow professional about these issues. On the international front, we interface with similar agencies in foreign countries in terms of both exporting and importing to and from the United States as well as for compliance with individual country or EC regulations on behalf of U.S. clients. Foreign clients seek our counsel to gain approval for their entry into the United States when said approval is mandated by law. |
